To be honest most people judge someone daily. You see something you don't understand and instead of taking time to have a conversation. You place judgement and share it and expand it. What would happen if you stopped and had a genuine conversation? It doesn't have to be with someone close to you.
Yesterday I started a fire, and had a conversation with my neighbor. We talk a lot but yesterday I felt the need to dig deeper. We sat outside for hours having a conversation about a multitude of topics but I asked him what he felt he struggled in most. He took a second and just openly shared. I felt every word. I asked him could I give him a hug. A lot of time we will be in a moment of time with people that are vulnerable and transparent and we just leave it there. I wanted him to know I appreciated him being in a real moment with me.
A moment that may shift me forever. I was open about my judgement. Not off my own understanding but the way I was raised. I told him my experiences with it. I was also in a safe space to be open and honest. I felt that this how God intended us to love on each other. That we are all created and go through different experiences that creates the person we encounter. Before you fix your mouth to judge just have a conversation. Genuinely to inquire. Not to just state your opinion, judge, or state your case. To be in a moment with another creation of God. See why you crossed paths.
